What a fantastic afternoon of football!

20 players, 4 teams, 1 World Cup-themed tournament… and what an event it turned out to be!

⚪️🔵Argentina 🏆 Champions
🔵 France 🥈 Runners-up
🔴🟡Spain 🥉 Third Place
⚪️ England Fourth Place

The players produced:
⚽ 10 competitive matches
🥅 29 goals scored
🎯 A dramatic semi-final penalty shootout
👏 Great teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship throughout

To fit all of that into just 2 hours was brilliant, and every player embraced the challenge from the first whistle to the last.

Seeing the players compete, encourage one another and enjoy the game is exactly what Joga Bonito Coaching is all about. Days like today remind me why I love coaching.

⚽🏆 What fantastic football fun at our Tekkers Tuesday Tournament 1 of 2

A huge well done to all the players representing France, England, and Portugal. Across 7 competitive matches, including the final, the boys demonstrated incredible passion, teamwork, and sportsmanship from start to finish.

The tournament produced 11 goals, plenty of exciting moments, some brilliant individual skills, and excellent team play throughout. Special recognition also goes to our two goalkeepers, whose outstanding saves, bravery, and commitment kept their teams in contention and showcased the importance of every position on the pitch.

Most importantly, it was great to see everyone encouraging one another, working together, and enjoying the game. The progress, confidence, and enthusiasm shown by all the players were fantastic to see.

Congratulations to winners ENGLAND and every participant for making the tournament such a success. Keep working hard and enjoying your football! 🏆⚽👏

u11 girls were excited to meet Anita and Leah who shared their journey and discussed the barriers that they had when on their journey

From training and playing with boys, to only being in the Centre of Excellence at u14 with the current girls fortunate to have some amazing opportunities provided by the amazing work done at the academy by all coaches and local club coaches across the island

I was fortunate to coach both players years ago and proud to see how far they have progressed since - well done ladies keep pushing and showing the way!💪🏼🇯🇪⚽️
