This Bank Holiday Monday we held a 60 Target English Sporting Competition

There was a wide variety of targets on offer, with a lot of thought put into the stands to have targets to suit all tastes.

Once again, Alan Beadle dominated the field, although it was a close call with Acacio Duarte finishing just one target behind him!
However, Alan completed the triple crown so to speak winning all three competitions this long weekend.
He’s certainly on top form at the moment, and has been for quite some time.

Come on Crabbe shooters, time to knock him off the top spot for a change! 😉

The shoot was really well attended, with the reasonable weather encouraging our members out for a shoot on this Bank Holiday.

This morning we held our weekly 50 Target English Sporting Competition

Some excellent shooting took place on a testing set up by Dave Vieira.
It was tricky, but extremely enjoyable.

This afternoon we held our regular 50 Target English S***t Competition

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t kind to our shooters, with winds from the Southwest gusting to 40 mph.
The targets were erratic to say the least, however, some steady shooting paid off for our eventual winner, Alan Beadle who recorded two rounds of 24 to give him a finishing total of
48 x 50.

Duarte Martins came runner up with two rounds of 23, giving him a very credible 46 in the conditions.

In third place was Royston Rimeur producing rounds of 24 and 22, giving him an equal score of 46, but losing out on count back to Duarte.

Congratulations to Alan taking the victory today in testing conditions, and well done to Duarte and Royston taking the placings.

The Jersey S***t Team has just returned from the 45th Home Internationals held in Ireland 🇮🇪

There were some great performances, but I wanted to highlight the stand out one for me, which was produced by our young Crabbe lady shooter, Courtney Smith.

This was only the third time Courtney had shot in the S***t Home Internationals, but what a shoot it turned out to be!!

She started the first day recording her first 50 straight in the first two rounds, producing a third round of 24, and finishing the first day with a 22, giving her 96 x 100.

She kept up her good form on day two ending up on 143 x 150.

That gave her second highest score in the whole Jersey squad, finishing only two clays behind the greatly experienced Mark Andrews on 150 taking Jersey High Gun, and who has been shooting these high level competitions for decades.

Well done Courtney, you have a great clay shooting career ahead of you!
