Our club's Christmas party tonight was great fun - what a wonderful, mad, lovely bunch we make!
Thanks Peter for sorting the raffle and main prize, Dave for the fun targets, François for the pistol shooting, Craig for the music, Harry for spinning us around and everyone else for a great time and all the food. Special thanks goes to Francis for saving the day and the oven😬

Peter Quimby attended Bisley this weekend just gone to try his luck against one of the UK’s most tricky ranges which throws mirage and changing wind conditions almost every shoot. Well… he only went and topped Class A for the opening weekend shoot putting in an amazing pair of cards (one pictured below)! Huge well done (and we won’t talk about his 3rd card at all 😂).

Good shooting conditions today and just enough wind to catch you out if you weren’t paying attention

It was great to open up the dividing range doors last night to hold our annual 25 yards prone smallbone rifle 25 yard handicap competition! It was a great turnout, but it was Peter, Hayden and Evita that hit their 200/200 spot on! Role on the tie shoot this Thursday night whilst our Bullseye Competition Team takes on the other JSSA clubs on the island! Feel free to spectate from 7:15!

We’re pleased to inform you that our 20yard rimfire and centrefire pistol nights are back on following the upgrade of our sand trap (thanks to Peter).

We have moved the session to Wednesday nights to follow our Airgun sessions, so aim to arrive for 8pm.

Competency to hit the target must be established with beginners on the Airgun targets before moving to this session. However, we welcome all including members of other pistol clubs on the island that want to practice in the week nights indoors.

On Monday evening the club held its annual Christmas Shoot! What a great turn out and lovely to see a good mix of men and women competing head to head in air pistol and catapult for prizes 💥🔫 The men were most competitive when it came to catapult whilst our 7 women topped the scores in pistol, just behind Thomas Mills who was our top scorer of the evening🥇

Everyone brought along something yummy for the grand feast on the festively illustrated table and great prizes for the bring-a-prize-to-win-a-prize and raffle.
Thank you to all who came, for supporting the club and making it a merry party, we already look forward to next year!

Coming Monday 13th Dec, our Christmas Shoot will kick off from 7:30pm. We hope all our members can come by and join the fun.
