Last year, I was stuck in a cycle that felt impossible to break
Construction job. Crap food. Partying on weekends.
My diet was basically 80% GYG and beers
(safe to say, half my blood type was guac).
I was tired, out of shape, and dragging myself through the week feeling like garbage.
The turning point? I saw a photo of myself with a uuuugee double chin. š
Not gonna lie, it hit me hard.
Iād been avoiding mirrors, ignoring how I felt, and just coasting.
But seeing that picture? That was the wake-up call I needed.
I didnāt go all in with extreme diets or punish myself with hours of cardio. Instead, I started small:
Cut back on takeaways (yes, even GYG š« ).
Trained consistently, even when I didnāt want to.
Focused on hitting protein and improving my sleep.
Fast forward to today: Iām 77kg, leaner, stronger, and finally feel like myself again.

I look back at these photos and honestly canāt believe how far Iāve comeā¦
A year ago, I was in a completely different place ⦠mentally, physically, emotionally
Iād moved to a new city, but instead of feeling excited, I felt trapped
My visa situation meant I had to work in construction, stuck in a job I hated, surrounded by people eating KFC for lunch every day and drinking every weekend
And not caring about their health
On top of that, I was in a toxic relationship that was draining every ounce of energy I had left
I felt weak, out of shape, and completely stuck in a rut
Injuries from overtraining in the past didnāt help either
To say I felt horrible would be putting it lightly
Fast forward to now, and everythingās changed
Iām here in Sydney, working in the industry I love
Helping people transform their lives, and building a version of myself I never thought possible
Iāve put my injuries behind me, I feel strong, confident, and absolutely at home in my own skin
This didnāt happen overnight

Have you ever imagined what you could be capable of if you just went ALL IN?

It wasnāt that Pete hadnāt been trying
He had. A LOT.
He just lacked the system needed to be able to reach this transformation in a way that worked, without over restriction or confusing dietary advice
See, going t-total doesnāt work > You start with good intentions, but youāre back at square one after a couple of weeks
And it certainly didnāt work for Pete
-Social occasions
-Last minute plan changes
-Family get-togethers
-The occasional pint watching the footy
It simply wasnāt manageable to follow an approach that was based solely on what he couldnāt do or have

Sometimes you need to face that going things alone, isnāt getting you anywhereā¦
was stuck in the endless cycle of trying to lose weight, slipping off track, and starting again every Monday
Week after week, month after month, it was the same story:
ā No structure
ā No plan
ā No progress
It left Ben feeling
š« Deflated and unmotivated.
š« Lethargic and unproductive at work.

What other coaches wonāt tell you about alcohol⦠š·ā
Let me start by saying
Iām all about moderation. Iāll never tell you to give up the foods (or drinks) you love completely
But if you have serious hopes of dropping body fat, thereās one thing you absolutely need to limit:
Alcohol
š Itās empty calories. No protein, no nutrients, just extra energy your body doesnāt need.
š It wrecks your sleep, messing with recovery, fat-burning, and hunger hormones (hello, cravings)
š It lowers testosterone, which makes building and maintaining muscle harder
š It destroys decision-making. One drink leads to another, then junk food, then skipping the gym.
But letās go deeper: many people use alcohol as an escape
If you find yourself constantly thinking about your next drink, there may be underlying issues youāre masking by drinking
The truth? Lifeās full of challenges
Tragedies are guaranteed for all of us. Using alcohol as a coping mechanism in your 20s and 30s can set you up for trouble down the line
Instead of masking problems, face them head-on, your future self will thank you
