Game 1 of the 2025 softball season complete!
Huge team effort today with everyone playing their part, and awesome to see some debutants out there! 💚

Today marks the 80th anniversary of Jersey liberation from the German occupation! 🇯🇪

So, Day 2… A lot of aching bodies, but nothing Cassie’s cookies, Paul’s banana loaf, and Sylvia’s cupcakes couldn’t cure. Maybe we should enter a bake-off team instead of a softball tournament! 🍰😂

Every player improved over the weekend, which was amazing to see. We saw real progress from Day 1 to Day 2, and that’s what matters for this group.

We did finish 10th overall in the table but managed to sneak into that Spoon final. We did put up a fight but lost 19–9 to a very experienced Transformers side. Still, our first ever tournament outing as G&T O’Clock was a great experience, especially with half the squad never playing softball before!

Every game, every inning came with lessons. For some of the players, this was their first-ever outdoor game… and they’ve just played FIVE in one day!

Incredible effort, and loads to take forward into tomorrow and the summer league! 🥎🥎🥎
