Almost 10kg down. No injections. No crash diets. đȘ
Last year was a strange one.
Work-wise, it was probably my best year yet. I genuinely love coaching the people I train every day - you know who you are đ
But personally? I let things slide a bit.
I barely trained properly, drank too much, ate badly, and slowly put on around 10kg. Nothing extreme, but enough to feel uncomfortable in myself and not like me anymore.
I couldâve blamed stress, life, other people⊠but honestly, it gave me a push. A reminder that I was capable of a lot more if I actually committed again.
So I flipped the switch.
No gimmicks.
No magic pills.
No crash diets.
No âfat jabâ shortcuts.
Just:
* consistent training
* better nutrition
* less alcohol
* proper structure
* patience
* and a bit of grit
Over the last few months Iâve:
â
Lost over 7kg
â
Beat my half marathon PB
â
Got stronger in the gym than ever
â
Leaned down while keeping muscle
â
Feel healthier, sharper, and more confident than I have in years
And at 46, that should hopefully show people itâs never âtoo lateâ to get into great shape.
The biggest thing I want people to understand is this:
You donât need to starve yourself to lose weight â
You donât need to live on salads â
And you definitely shouldnât avoid lifting weights â
Cardio helps burn calories, but resistance training is what gives your body shape when the fat comes off. Itâs what helps you look athletic, healthy, and strong - not just âsmaller.â
This wasnât about becoming skinny.
It was about becoming better đȘđȘ
If youâve been struggling with motivation, confidence, weight loss, or just donât know where to start - it is possible with the right guidance and consistency.
If I can do it while running a business and coaching others full-time, you can too đȘ

This is how I live my life.
In the gym: đïžââïž
10% is the workout⊠90% is the effort. đȘ
In life: đ§
No weird reactions. No emotional swings.
I respond with control, discipline, and logic.
If youâre ready to stop reacting and start building real discipline, strength, and consistency - get in touch and step into the gym. Letâs put in the work where it actually counts. đŻ
No pressure. No intimidation. Just real progress.

Hi, my name is Leo and I am 46 years old. I am a fully qualified REP's registered Personal Trainer and I have been helping men and women of all ages get in the best shape possible for the last 15 years . I offer 1 to 1 personal training in a state of the art well equipped privately owned gym situated in Pontac, St Clement.
If youâre over 30, you probably have more âstuffâ going on in your life that you did at 21 (I know I do) making it more difficult to focus on eating right and training regularly. And the enthusiasm you once had for exercise â especially if you havenât seen the results you were hoping for â may have waned too.
You might feel that your body canât handle the kind of punishment you used to dish out in your early twenties, and that it takes longer to recover than it used to.
But none of this matters. With my help and the right type of training, you can still build muscle and lose weight and get strong and healthy well into your forties, fifties and beyond.
Itâs all too easy to tell yourself that the reason youâre not gaining muscle or losing enough weight etc. is because youâre not training hard enough. While lack of effort is certainly one reason why people fail to build a decent amount of muscle or lose enough weight, itâs not the only reason.
There are plenty of people out there who train extremely hard yet make little or no progress despite all their effort.
There is no correct training type or frequency that works for all people, all of the time. Nor are there rigid guidelines that determine what your training routine should look like at any stage of life.
There are some exercises that will hurt no matter what. If so, donât be afraid to ditch that exercise and find a similar one that doesnât. There is no single âmust doâ exercise that canât be replaced with something else.
Contact me if you would like to get into the best shape you possibly can (because you only live once right?) - regardless of how old you are or how much gym experience you have - and I will show you how it is possible. My private gym is located on St Clements coast rd. (3 doors before Bon Air Apartments)

The date on your birth certificate counts for very little, as exercise scientists will attest. Your bodyâs true age can be far higher or lower than you think.
A man and women's physical peak, in terms of fitness, typically occurs in his late 20s to early 30s. During this period, muscle mass, strength, and cardiovascular fitness are often at their highest.
After reaching this peak, physical performance and fitness levels may start to decline gradually, usually around the age of 30. Factors such as lifestyle, training, and genetics can influence this decline. While some aspects of fitness may remain stable for some people into the late 30s or even early 40s with proper training and nutrition, others, like recovery time and maximal strength, may begin to decrease more noticeably.
I have been training hard, five days a week, for as long as I can remember. Countless hours of my life have been spent in a state of exercise-induced discomfort. Men and women have plenty of reasons for working out. Vanity is a big one, of course. But not all of us are motivated by the promise of abs, or the ability to trounce our friends in a pull-up competition. For many, the principal motivation might best be summarised by: âBecause itâs good for my health.â It will give us more and, crucially, better years on Earth.
Along the way I have learned a lot about the best ways to exercise. I learned what works and what doesnât. I learned what it means to eat right. And I learned how to use a tough, no excuses-allowed mental approach to get the job done. Iâm training even smarter now , applying everything I know and learned, feeling stronger inside and out. And I want to share this with you.
