On remembering that life exists outside the space of our heads… Douglas Harding says it best. Incredibly nice to be back teaching so many familiar faces on Wednesday. There’ll be more on Saturday, 7.30am . Welcomed by a high tide and blue skies, it’ll be perfect for a dip after.

Heatwaves, wild fires and nerve tingling politics; so much uncertainty, so much to think about. Yet also a reminder to keep it simple, keep it slow and start with the small things.

As we move through Spring, a time for expansion, growth and new beginnings, we will focus on nurturing our roots and maintaining clear intention, building strength in preparation for the longer days to come.
Summer is linked to the element of Fire and the emotion of Joy, it is the season of upmost Yang; days are long, the air is warm and the sun is at its highest in the sky.
Working with the Chinese Five Element theory we will move through a series of postures, forms and moving meditations. Tuning into our breath, body and mind; discovering ways of preserving our vital energy and finding balance within the ever changing environment that surrounds and inhabits us.
Classes are open to all and anyone, no previous experience of Yoga or Qigong necessary.
Thursdays 6.45pm-8pm, 19th May-9th June

As the days become longer and we move out of hibernation season we begin to put Winter’s slower intentions into motion. In Chinese medicine Spring is symbolised through the element of Wood. Wood represents expansion, growth and new beginnings. Like a tree, in order to grow and expand in all directions we need to maintain nourishment and keep our roots grounded.
Too much water and the roots will rot, not enough space and the roots won’t grow.
Once again we find ourselves amidst turbulent times in the world - when we feel overwhelmed and unsure of how we can help, checking in with ourselves is a good place to start.
Through a mixture of Yoga, Qigong & moving meditation we will look at grounding, energising & connecting the body & mind. Harmonising with the change in season and finding balance between intention and action.
& there’ll probably be a lot of this. 👆🏼 One of my favourites.

Can you feel that sun on your face? Soon, soon, we will emerge from hibernation and welcome the winds of Spring.
Next Yoga & Qigong course coming up at starting Monday 7th March.
As we move out of Winter and towards Spring, we will look at the intentions that brew during the quieter days and set about putting them into action. Slowly & softly, moving forwards whilst keeping our feet firmly on the ground.

Despite the depths of January, there’s hope in the air and the days are getting longer! 🌱 A shout out to all Jersey friends, it’s that time of the year again when we start prepping for the summer season. Myself, Lady Bunker & are looking for people to join our team for summer 2022. Junior & Senior surf instructors, coffee makers and any all time, all rounders. Like a lot of you out there I’ve been struck down by the big man. I feel lucky my symptoms aren’t too bad, although my energy has felt so low that the majority of my dog walks have looked like this ☝🏼.
I managed to do a little yoga video last night before bed and it made me feel mountains better. For the first time in a week I felt connected to my body and found a little bit of perspective within the brain fog. Just to move and breathe, or to breathe and not move, no matter how slow, can only be good for us. Yet, how easily we forget this.
So, as an ode to winter solstice & in probably the most unattractive trousers I own, I thought I’d record something for anyone out there that needs some support right now. Suitable for all, in and out of ISO, plus the pregnant lot too (just move to your own limits, leave out the twist at the end and take table top or childs pose for any belly bits.) It’s not my finest but it’s slow, grounding & gentle, 40mins & there to view as and when you need.
Think I’ll take some time offline over Christmas, but big love & healthy Christmas wishes to you all!
