Because let’s be honest…

What matters isn’t what knocked you off track.
It’s how quickly you get back on it.

Ask yourself:

• If I miss a workout, what’s my next move?
• If I overeat or lose motivation, how will I respond?
• Who can I message when I’m struggling instead of going quiet?

Because progress isn’t about perfection.

It’s about shortening the gap between setback and comeback.
It’s about refusing to start over - you simply continue.

The people who succeed aren’t the ones who never slip.

Give up repeating the same cycle.

You know the one…

You start strong.
You’re motivated.
You’re consistent for a few weeks.

Then life happens.
Old habits creep back in.
And you’re back at square one.

That’s the loop.

And it doesn’t mean you lack discipline —
it means you haven’t broken the pattern yet.

Think back to the last time you tried to get fit or eat better.

Ask yourself:
• What actually went well?
• What caused me to stop?
• What habits or beliefs got in my way?
• What will I do differently this time?

Awareness changes everything.

Now go back and re-read your WHY.
Revisit your 12-week vision.

Those are your anchors. ⚓

Big transformations don’t happen in one moment.
They happen in the small wins no one sees.

This week’s focus: Mini Milestones.

Your big goal?
It’s just a stack of weekly promises kept.

Instead of obsessing over the end result, ask yourself:
👉 What’s my win for this week?
👉 What action can I tick off by Sunday?
👉 What would progress - not perfection - look like?

Make it achievable.
Make it aligned with your goal.
Make it non-negotiable.

And when you hit it?

Celebrate it. 🎉

Because momentum isn’t built from giant leaps -
it’s built from small victories repeated consistently.

Give up drifting through your fitness journey without a destination.

Instead… visualise your success.

Close your eyes for a second.
It’s 12 weeks from now — and this time, you followed through.

You feel:
💪 stronger in your body
🧠 clearer in your mind
🔥 more confident in how you show up

Your daily life looks different.
Your energy is higher.
Others notice — and you notice most.

Now ask yourself:
• How do I feel in my body?
• What’s changed in my day-to-day life?
• How do others see or treat me?
• What am I most proud of?

This image matters.
Because when things get hard, this is what pulls you forward.

Hi Folks,

It has been a while, and a busy start to the year here at Sustain Fitness, so I thought I should probably reintroduce myself...

🏅🇳🇿 I’m Joe. I qualified as a Personal Trainer way, way back in 2012 from the New Zealand Institute of Health and Fitness.

⏱️ I have since logged over 10,000 hours of training sessions.

👟 My very first client started training with me aged 89 years young, having never entered a gym before in their life. Proof that you are never too old to start your fitness journey.

🏃‍♂️ I have worked with a diverse range of clients with a wide range of goals including sports performance, stroke rehabilitation, weight loss, weight gain, injury rehabilitation and much more.

🌟 I spent 4 years in London working for the UCLH trust, including helping to support their lower limb rehabilitation, and hypermobility strengthening programmes. This sparked my interest in injury rehabilitation.

🧡 They say if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in your life. And guess what? I’ve been told I love my job far too much!

🏏 When I’m not in the gym, you’ll find me enjoying a game of cricket, diving into a good book, or cherishing moments with my young family... Oh, and trying to catch up on some much-needed sleep!
