A successful first outing for Jersey Cricket Club 👏
The series v finished 1-1, with plenty of positives to take.
Game 1 saw MCC chase down the JCC total of 173 in the final over. Drew Sylvester (76) & Jacques Van Der Walt (40*) top scoring with the bat and Kush Pathak (2-26) the main contributor with the ball.
Game 2 saw JCC restrict MCC to 133, JCC then chasing it down with 7 wickets and 2.3 overs to spare. Again Drew (65*) and Georon Claasen (36) top scored with Ed Giles & Tiaan Kruger taking 3 wickets apiece.
Drew Sylvester was named Player of the Series after key contributions with the bat 🏏

🔴 JERSEY v GUERNSEY 🔴
Our final match summary of a successful qualifying tournament, winning 5/5 games and beating Guernsey by 4 wickets in the final.
The first innings Jersey took crucial Guernsey wickets at important periods and were very good at restricting Guernsey to a below par, 139 runs off of their 20 overs. 2 wickets a piece for Zak Tribe and Carlyon who stepped up to bowl tough overs for the side.
In the run chase, Jersey partnerships for the 6th/7th wicket took the game away from Guernsey to finish the game with two overs to spare!
A great final and good for the lower order, who haven't had much to do this tournament, to get the team over the line and lift the trophy!
Jersey will now turn their attention to the one day format with a huge year of fixtures to come!

Huge congratulations to Jersey Cricket for their thrilling 4 wicket win vs nearest neighbours Guernsey Cricket in today's final.
Zak Tribe with a match-winning 54 & 2/10. Jersey lift the trophy and progress to the next stage of qualification for the Men's ICC T20 World Cup 2028.

7th place playoff - Switzerland beat Malta (by 3 wickets) 🇨🇭
5th place playoff - Austria beat Croatia (by 5 wickets) 🇦🇹
3rd place playoff - Sweden beat France Cricket (by 6 wickets) 🇸🇪
