Humans have always trained better in groups, from prehistoric rituals to CrossFit boxes. | Lewis Smith
Humans have always trained better in groups, from prehistoric rituals to CrossFit boxes. but lets look at the science, psychology, and real-world stories that explain why tribes drive performance and how modern fitness is finally catching up. Or at least PACT is.

Every night I write out my tasks for the next day broken down by business, prioritised, and clear.
Three businesses. One board.
Then I execute, clear it daily, and repeat the ritual again at night.
It’s simple.
But it’s been one of the most important habits I’ve ever developed.
Not just for clarity but for momentum, discipline, and mental space.
It got me wondering:
What’s one personal ritual that’s shaped how you build?
That one thing you do consistently that keeps the wheels turning, and has determined your success.
Share something useful. You never know who it might help.

This is how I jump back on the wagon after 2 weeks all inclusive, birthdays, donuts and enough Cruz Campo to drown an elephant.
To be clear, I’m not a weigh my food kind of guy. I like to look good but being shredded and training like a p***y has never been my thing.
I always train like my life depends on it, if I want to get leaner I’ll cut the s**t food and the booze. Simple.
Now there are a number of protocols I use personally and on my programmes in order to kick start motivation and not only help feel good but perform better.
In no particular order here’s my ex*****on list post trip:
1 24 hour fast
2 Overload on water and electrolytes
3 Set 7 day goals
4 set weekly goals
5 set daily goals and turn into non negotiable tasks
6 create a sleep prep alarm and label it
7 plan my weeks training
8 plan my weeks meals
9 organise my week and prioritise tasks
10 inversions and breathwork daily to stay focused
Unsure about anything or want the exact plan on how I execute this to get me on track just mesage me.

16 years coaching taught me this:
🚫 Lack of workouts isn’t the problem
🔥 Lack of intensity and consistency is
70% of gym members quit in 3 months.
Only 1 in 5 adults train enough to make real progress.
Why?
Because most people don’t know how to unlock that next gear, the discipline, the drive, the athlete mindset.
That’s been my obsession for over a decade:
How do you bring the mindset of a competitor to the everyday person?
Now I’m building something that does exactly that.
Not more content but a system that helps people show up, push harder, and stay in it.
Real change comes from effort.
And effort can be trained.

SMITHS don’t quit”
That’s the family motto that my little girls often repeat back to me.
I want to instil in them the mentality that was instilled in me. Failing is inevitable, quitting is unfathomable.
I have been brought to my knees more times than I can remember and I have also achieved what most men never will.
Every set back and desicion has led me to this project. All the experience and failures suddenly make sense.
And no matter how many people do not believe, one thing is for certain, I will succeed.
It’s very hard to beat a man that refuses to lose.

I was sat today getting frustrated with how fast time was going.
I was frustrated that time was flying and I wasn’t doing anything and making the most of my life.
Then I looked through my camera roll of the last 12 months.
I have been all over the world and done some of the most incredible things.
My kids are happy and achieving.
Im with the most incredible, supportive and special lady.
My business is growing.
I’ve had some of the most special times with friends and family.
I looked back and I suddenly felt a huge sense of gratitude. Look at the life that I have created for myself.
I’m blessed. This is what happiness is.
Through all of the adversity. This is where I am.
This is NOT about me BUT about encouraging you to do exactly the SAME.
Look through your camera roll and take note of all the special moments you have had recently. Focus on all the positives and blessings you have.
Witness your mindset change instantly.

Your week doesn’t start on Monday. It starts with the standards you set on Sunday.
In the Level Up community, we don’t wing it.
We lead ourselves with intention because how we show up in life starts with how we prepare.
Here are a few standards we live by each week:
Don’t train for ego — train for longevity.
Be consistent when life gets busy — not just when it’s easy.
Lead by example — especially when your kids are watching.
Hold the line — even when motivation fades.
Check in, show up, stay sharp.
Comfort is everywhere.
Distraction is constant.
So we build structure, stay accountable, and keep raising the bar together.
If you’re not planning your week, it’s already owning you.

Another week gone that we won’t get back.
I hope you made it count.
