The champions are coming to Guernsey to defend their title… 🏆
The Cherry Godfrey Cup is an inter-island women’s football tournament bringing together Guernsey, Jersey, the Isle of Man and the Isle of Wight for a weekend of competitive football and island rivalry.
When the bi-annual tournament kicked off for the first time in 2024, it delivered drama, rivalry and a penalty shootout final that had everyone on the edge of their seats.
In the end, the Isle of Man lifted the trophy.
Now in June 2026, the four islands meet again - this time at Victoria Park in Guernsey.
Will the Manx defend their title… or will a new champion rise?

Our mini mascots were such a great addition to the CG Cup last year!
It was great to be able to involve children from football clubs across Jersey in this celebration of women's football, hopefully helping to inspire the next generation of local footballers!

Looks like team spirit!
The Cherry Godfrey Cup was all about getting great female athletes together to play some terrific football together, and we are so pleased with the teamwork and spirit we saw from all the teams and players in the inaugural competition.
It's a testament to every team who played, to see how well you all played together, and the respect and sportsmanship that was shown on and off the pitch. A series of great games, played by great players.

Celebrating our great referees!
Events like the Cherry Godfrey Cup couldn't happen without the great referees who gave up their time to make sure the game was played fairly, as well as fun!
The Green Lionesses played a great game against Sutton United FC on Wednesday. We were really impressed with the level of football played by everyone on the pitch.
It was great to see such a packed stand for this historic first ever game hosted at home by the Guernsey FC Women's team, and we are delighted to be the Highlight Sponsors for the match.
