Well, I’ve been having great fun with the new Unity Posture Series Clinics, and I think my clients have been enjoying them too! 😄🙌

I’ve been doing a bit of research into weight gain in the heat ☀️💛

I’m not someone who weighs myself often, but I’m very in tune with changes in my body… and during this heatwave I’ve definitely felt heavier despite actually eating less.

Turns out, this can be completely normal 👀

A person’s daily water needs depend on activity levels and air temperature. Hot weather and intense exercise increase sweating, which means the body naturally tries to retain more fluid.
Humidity can make this even more noticeable because sweat drips from the body rather than evaporating effectively to cool us down.

In summer, body weight can increase by several pounds simply due to increased body water. Hormones such as Aldosterone help the kidneys retain more fluid and reduce the amount of salt lost through sweat😅 both of which contribute to water retention. 💦

So if you’re feeling a little puffier, heavier, or more swollen in the heat, it doesn’t automatically mean fat/weight gain. Sometimes it’s simply your body adapting and protecting itself in warmer temperatures 🙌

Our bodies are clever like that 🤓💛

(Also… the iced latte probably isn’t helping the “summer puff” situation but we move 😂☕️ 🧘‍♀️

✨ So I think the very first ever session of the Unity Posture & Alignment Series went well 👏🤍

I’m really excited about this new aspect of my business and being able to help people even more with their:
• Alignment
• Quality of movement
• Postural awareness
• Confidence within their bodies

These sessions are all about moving better, feeling stronger and creating more awareness and support throughout the body ✨

And of course… the clipboard was absolutely necessary for the extra professional look 👩‍🏫😂🤍

✨ I’ve been quietly working behind the scenes preparing and getting excited for the very first Unity Alignment Posture Clinic, starting next weekend.

Posture is about so much more than simply “standing up straight.” The way we hold and align our body affects how we move, breathe, feel, and function every single day. 🙌

Improving posture can help:
✨ Reduce neck, shoulder, and back tension
✨ Improve breathing and core activation
✨ Enhance balance, mobility, and body awareness
✨ Support spinal health and alignment
✨ Increase confidence and energy levels
✨ Improve movement efficiency in everyday life and exercise

This clinic will combine Pilates based movement, alignment education, mobility work, breathing techniques, and postural awareness to help people better understand their bodies and move with greater ease, strength, and confidence.

Happy International Pilates Day ✨ 🌍

Today is a celebration of a method that goes far beyond just exercise.

As an instructor, I’m incredibly grateful.

Back to the grind after a lovely little reset 🤍

I’m really excited to be starting my first Unity Alignment Series – Posture Clinic on Saturday 16th May.

This is a 4-week focused course designed to support your posture, alignment and overall movement quality. Combining targeted reformer work with simple mat exercises you can take away and build into your routine.

There are just 2 spaces remaining, and I’ll be keeping the group intentionally small so everyone gets the attention they need.

Signing out of the studio for a little break in the sun ☀️

It’s been such a wonderfully busy start to the year, and I’m so grateful for my amazing clients 💛

Looking forward to some much-needed R&R before returning refreshed, recharged, and ready to move with you all again.

Group classes resume Friday 24th April 🙌

Most people don’t realise how much their posture affects how they feel, move and train.

Tight shoulders, neck tension, headaches, lower back discomfort… often it’s not just “tightness” it’s how your body is aligned and supported.

This is something I work on with clients every day, and I’m now introducing something new…

✨ Posture Clinic:
Small Group Intensive ✨

A focused Saturday morning session designed to help you:
• Understand your posture
• Improve alignment and control
• Learn how to move more efficiently

Each session will include a short assessment, targeted exercises, and individual guidance throughout.

I’ll be keeping this to a maximum of 5 people to maintain quality and attention.

I’ll be running my first clinic very soon…

Group Mat classes are now at Elevate ✨

🗓 Mondays – 5:15pm
🗓 Fridays – 10:00am

Class numbers will be slightly smaller, and the next few weeks are already fully booked 😳

I’d highly recommend booking online in advance to avoid disappointment. Also please try to avoid late cancellations as there are already waiting lists 🤪 🙏
