Commonwealth Games day 0 update:

Men’s Singles:

Mark McGreal (Isle of Man) 10-5 and 9-6 Taylor Greechan (Jersey)

Taylor will look to bounce back tomorrow with a game at 9:55am and the ladies pairs of Sara Douglas and Fiona Archibald start their campaign with 2 games at 9:55am and 7:15pm

Best of luck to Taylor Greechan, who kicks our Glasgow 2026 campaign off at the SEC this morning.

Le Quesne Schedule is now live!!

Bowls Jersey are delighted to announce the men’s team for the 2026 Le Quesne against Guernsey on 25/26 July at Brelade Bowls Club.

Unfortunately a ladies game will not be played this year.

Schedule for the weekend will be posted later on this week.

TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT

Bowls Jersey are delighted to announce their squad for the European Championships 2026 in Llandrindod Wells between 19th-26th September.

British Bowls International Series, day 4 session 2:

The ladies finish up with the Irish on top.

Unfortunately the ladies couldn’t keep their momentum against a determined Irish team who finished in a high against the ladies.

Ireland 6-0 Jersey

Well to sum up, there has been a lot of positives in the series for both the ladies and men. Once again the scoreboard does not reflect a lot of games results. Different days and different actions and there would have been a lot more points. Once again Jersey fought well and showed we can complete with the best in Britain. A massive well done to all the players that have played this week.

Also a massive thank you and well done to team managers Ethel Southern and Matt Herve, who have kept the teams going, kept on top of everything and looked after everyone.

A huge thank you to a big travelling support, the ones who travelled up to watch and the ones who stayed after the championships, it was fantastic to see so many supporters for jersey making lots of noise.

We come back with our heads held high and look forwarded to the next series in 2027!!

British Bowls International Series day 4 session 1:

The ladies get a much needed boost and the men conclude their series.

The ladies were up against Wales in the fours and singles. A great showing from the ladies saw them win 3 rinks and just losing out on the over all shots bonus.

Jersey 3-3 Wales

The men completed their series against England in the pairs and triples. At the halfway stage the lads were in every single game, but the experience and class from the English took the game away from the lads.

England 6-0 Jersey

The final session of the day just about the start with the ladies competing their series in the singles and fours against Ireland while the men cheer the ladies on!!

British Bowls international series day 3 session 2:

The men were up against it against hosts Scotland. A good fight from the lads with 3 games going down to the last game but no joy as Scotland sweep the men the whole session.

Scotland 6-0 Jersey

Tomorrow marks the final day with the men concluding their series against England and the ladies with 2 games against Wales and Ireland.

British Bowls International Series day 3 session 1:

A difficult morning for both the ladies and men as they start to close out their series.

The ladies had hosts Scotland in the singles and fours. The ladies played well but unfortunately Scotland showed their class and proving they are a step above us at the moment.

Scotland 6-0 Jersey

The men also had a difficult game against Ireland in the pairs and triples. 3 rinks had a tough struggle but there was a chance of winning the other 3 rinks, losing out 1 rink by 2 and one rink by 1 on the last end. The men did win 1 rink adding to their points tally.

Ireland 5-1 Jersey

The second and final session is underway with the men up against hosts Scotland in their penultimate game of the series and the ladies having a bye.
