🏁 ROUND 2: SILVERSTONE — THAT’S A WRAP!

Two weeks on, the dust has settled, the results are confirmed and the official photos are now LIVE. 📸

Before a single wheel turned, our teams had already raised more than £5,000.

By the end of the event, that had grown to an incredible £8,500+ for Cancer Research UK - and the final campaign total is still to come!

A huge thank you to everyone who raced, fundraised, donated, volunteered and supported the event, along with Cancer Research UK, Sheryl 🐼 and Silverstone for helping make Round 2 happen.

Formula Student 3/3: The Heartbeat of the Paddock 🛠️🏁

​No Formula Student UK event happens because of an executive board or a fancy poster 👀

​It happens because a dedicated committee grinds for 51 weeks a year, joined by hundreds of legend volunteers using their annual leave to wake up at 6:00 AM in 4 seasons of Silverstone weather (all before lunch 🫠).

​Scrutinising cars, judging reports, marshaling trackside, and cheering on students who’ve poured 12 months into a build.

​Working alongside this crew (and running the Sim Series through JJRacing) is easily the best part of the job.

​Big tribute to the 8 committee members stepping down: Neill, Ruaraidh, John, Chris, Gerard, Joe, Oliver & Oliver 🤝

​From getting "schooled" by you lot in my student driver days to working alongside you as colleagues - thank you for the guidance.

​Special shoutout to Chief Judge Dan Jones (and the legendary "Read the Rules" t-shirt 👕👀).

​Seeing the students give an unprompted 90-second standing ovation for these legends says everything.

Formula Student is, and always will be, about the people on the ground 👊

​To everyone putting in the hours for the next gen - keep pushing, keep standards high, and always put the students first.
