This morning visit at the Rose Town Foundation β€” truly inspiring to see the great work being done through their different programs for the children.

We’re excited to be planning a small skateboarding demo and initiation session to share the joy of riding with the kids and create a positive moment together.

Big thanks for the warm welcome and the invitation from my friend Paulton, president of the National Basketball Association. Respect to everyone involved for the commitment and energy you bring to the youth. πŸ›Ήβ€οΈ

Seeing so many Youngsters having a great time developing their talents on and off skateboards in Water Lane was a captivating experience for all who took part. The Ambassador of Germany Jan Hendrik van Thiel and his wife Marina Siniavskaia were enjoying the experience to the fullest.
The German Embassy as the funding organization of the event is extending its thanks to all the participants and visitors, including The Honourable Donovan St. L. Williams serves as Minister of State in the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and is the Member of Parliament for Central Kingston, the French Ambassador Marianne Ziss, the French Embassy having financed the mobile skatepark in a previous project, the Founder of Kingston Creative Andrea Dempster-Chung, who gave us the space at their Art walk Festival and representatives from Utech Kingston, which is hosting the skate park, when it is not travelling. We extend in particular our deep appreciation and respect to RΓ©my Walter, his wife Kimberley Harris and the team from Jamaica Skate Culture Foundation (JSCF) for their relentless dedication and hard work for the development of the children of the inner-city communities.

Honored to meet again with H.E. Marianne Ziss, Ambassador of France to Jamaica, to review the impact of the FEF-funded programme, supported by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, including the mobile skatepark and instructor training programme delivered in Bull Bay and Portland.

Special thanks as well to Olivier Guyonvarch, former Ambassador of France, for his continuous support over three years, and to the Embassy team β€” Antoine and Carol Anne.

We discussed the certification of 16 skateboard instructors in Jamaica, led by Benjamin Garcia β€” World and European Champion and certified coach β€” delivered in Bull Bay and Boston Bay.

We also highlighted the strong success of the first mobile skatepark event in Downtown Kingston (Water Lane), supported by the German ambassador : three days of sessions, 100 children from inner-city communities, and a public showcase during the Christmas Art Walk Market, including demos, street art workshops, and skate initiations for over 50 attendees on Sunday.

Sincere thanks to the Ambassador for her time, trust, and continued support in using skateboarding as a tool for education, inclusion, and opportunity.

Minister Fayval Williams : Β« Congrats Remy+team on engaging our young people in Skateboarding, a recent addition to the Olympic sport events.
According to reports, "skateboarding was added as part of the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) effort to modernize the Games by including more youth-focused sports, and it has been confirmed for Los Angeles 2028 Games and will become a permanent fixture from 2028 onwards. Β»

Many thanks to The Honourable Fayval Williams, MP, for resharing the Jamaica Star coverage of the Germaican Skate Tour in Downtown Kingston, hosted at Kingston Creative.

Dear Minister, Your encouragement truly means a lot. This project required a great deal of work, but it was incredibly rewarding to see inner-city youth enjoying themselves, skating together, and being positively acknowledged by the public attending the

Over three days, young riders from were able to express their talent, children participated in street-art workshops with Katie, and Courtney painted live alongside the sessions. The connection between skateboarding, art, and community was powerful and inspiring.

Our goal with this national Skate Tour is simple: to bring skateboarding to as many children as possible while promoting and advocating for the development of youth centers with skateparks in every parish, so that children across the island can all have the opportunity to ride their dream.
Thank you again for your support and encouragement. In challenging times, this kind of recognition is deeply important for the youth and our teams working on the ground. May be peace love and harmony
