Itβs very tempting to, but it only works in the short term and backfires in the long run.
Your body gets used to the calories you eat, then you have to keep lowering it, and your body continuously adapts over time.
Now you have to continue eating less, or burning more calories (exercise).
If you start your diet eating very little calories, after one or two reductions, you are now on starvation calories. This is where temptations and cravings get high and there is a greater risk of cheating/binging/giving up.
Slow and steady wins the race, do not start your diet with low calories and trying to lose the most weight in a short period of time.
A better place to start is keeping your calories the same, but choose better sources of food and the daily macronutrients ratio.

Cardio
One of the less enjoyable variables used in effective for weight/fat loss. High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and Low Intensity Steady State (LISS) cardio are the better known options that are widely used. You can stick to one method or employ both in your program.
