Roje Stona, The 25-year-old became the first Jamaican male or female athlete to secure a gold in Discus throw at the Olympics. Roje Stona gave us our first gold medal at the Paris Olympics with a throw of 70.00m on his fourth attempt to secure the GOLD. Roje Stona set a new Olympic Record in the event.
Jamaica's other representatives in the final, Traves Smikle, finished ninth with his mark of 65.61m while Ralford Mullings was 10th achieving a mark of 64.97m.

Wayne Pinnock won Jamaica’s fourth medal at the Olympic Games and third silver after placing second with a jump of 8.36m. This Olympic silver medal was added to his silver medal at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary last year.

Kishane Thompson delivered a silver medal as he ran 9.79 seconds. Kishane Thompson and Noah Lyles ran the same time 100m. Noah Lyles won by (.0004) second over Jamaica's Kishane Thompson at the Olympics at Stade de France in Paris on Sunday.

Shanieka Ricketts won a silver medal after she jumped a season’s best 14.87m for second in the women’s triple jump at the Olympic Games at Stade de France in Paris on Saturday.

Rajindra Campbell became the first Jamaican to win a medal in the Shot Put event at the Olympic Games after he gained bronze with a throw of 22.15m in the final at Stade de France in Paris.
This was Jamaica’s first medal at the 2024 Olympic Games.
