A LEGENDARY MOMENT FOR LUKE WRIGHT! 🇯🇲🇷🇸

Legendary Chess Academy’s very own Top Student, Luke Wright, recently received the incredible honor of being invited to Radnički Chess Club in Serbia for two weeks to compete in a major chess tournament.

And Luke did not come to play! He came to compete!

Competing against talented players from across Europe, Luke held his own alongside players of different ages and titled players, gaining invaluable experience on the international chess stage.

🏅 Participation Medal
🏆 1st Place Trophy – Best U12 in his Category

What makes this achievement even more remarkable is that Luke was the youngest player in the tournament! His performance is another reminder that in chess, age is just a number. What matters is preparation, determination, courage, and the willingness to sit across the board and compete.

🇯🇲 We are incredibly proud of Luke and grateful for the opportunity for him to represent Legendary Chess Academy and Jamaica on an international stage.

This was indeed a LEGENDARY moment!

📚 Summer Saturday Reading Program is Now Enrolling!

Every great reader starts somewhere. Whether your child is struggling with reading or simply needs to build stronger literacy skills before the new school year, we’re here to help.

Our program begins with a Reading Assessment & Registration for JMD $3,000. During this first visit, we carefully assess your child’s current reading level and identify their strengths and areas that need improvement.

From there, we create an individualized lesson plan designed specifically for your child.

Our one-on-one reading sessions focus on skills such as:
📖 Letter sounds and phonics
📖 Blending words
📖 Word recognition
📖 Reading fluency
📖 Vocabulary development
📖 Reading comprehension
📖 Confidence while reading
📖 Critical thinking and discussion

Because every child learns differently, every lesson is personalized using the results of the assessment.

Saturday Program Options

🕘 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM | JMD $6,000 (Recommended for first-time students. Since classes are held once per week, the full-day option gives us the greatest opportunity to build strong reading habits and make meaningful progress.)
