The miles don’t always go according to plan.

For Mikhail A. C. Jackson, running while living with multiple sclerosis has meant learning when to push, when to adjust and how to keep moving forward when his body changes the plan.

His journey has taken him to the London Marathon twice and beyond, but this story is about far more than finish lines.

It’s about purpose, perseverance and refusing to allow a diagnosis to decide what is possible.

Stories Behind the Miles with Mikhail Jackson premieres TODAY at 3 PM on the Miles & Mics YouTube channel.

Running has become a place to reflect, rebuild and stay resilient through personal and professional challenges.

That same journey also helped shape Wadada Run Club | WRC! a space created for people to connect, move and simply be around each other in real life.

What makes a run club feel like community?

For Randy Richards and Wadada Run Club | WRC!, it starts with one simple idea: show up as you are.

You don’t have to be the fastest. You don’t have to be able to run 5K. You just have to feel like there’s a place for you.

We met a fellow runner in Sydney and discovered he was also a medical doctor. So, of course, we had to get his take on running.

A few practical reminders every runner should hear, whether you’re new to the sport or have been logging miles for years.

It’s not always about the miles. It’s the quiet. The thinking. The release. The space to clear your head and come back feeling a little lighter.

What does running do for your mental health?

Some finish lines stay with you forever.

For Rick Case, it wasn’t the time on the clock that made this one unforgettable. It was the people who stepped in when his body was ready to stop and helped him get there.

There’s a lot more behind this story in the full Stories Behind the Miles episode on YouTube.
