Run under the light of the full moon in one of the world’s most iconic deserts!
The 17th Annual Wadi Rum Full Moon Ultra Marathon 2026, a journey through the breathtaking desert landscape. This year was special for our team & runners! In the 17 editions of this marathon this one is the first to be registered & recognized by the UTMB & ITRA Index! It also featured a 50km single loop run leading deep into the desert of Wadi Rum!
The beauty of this rust-red desert made it the perfect setting for renowned movies such as Dune, Aladdin, Lawrence of Arabia, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, the Martian, some of the Star Wars installments and more.
Listed among Lonely Planet’s 1000 Ultimate Adventures and Men’s Journal’s 25 Best Adventure Marathons, this is more than a race… it’s an experience you’ll never forget! In the words of one of our runners: “When I first heard of FMDM, I thought why would anyone want to run in the sand? But the landscape was so incredible. It’s such a unique race; like an artist who found something special to paint, and now I love running on sand.”
