*** Big announcement time ***

As a result of the logistical practice holding and meetup difficulties experienced under Covid-19, coupled with the fact our two founding members are no longer in Kyoto, it is with sadness we announce that Kyoto Roller Derby has unfortunately reached its natural end.

We have loved every second of creating a glorious team, getting them as far through their minimum skills as possible, and sharing our passion for this great sport with our community here in Kyoto. It’s not always been easy, as we had a lot of difficulty even finding a place to skate for a long time, but we persevered and were buoyed by the commitment and energy of our fantastic Kyoto friends, supporters, and members.

Thank you to everyone who has offered encouragement and love, you’re so very appreciated. We can only hope that the spirit of derby lives on in all who rolled with KRD, but for now it’s “sayonara” from us.

KRD are hosting a pub quiz night to celebrate the end of a great derby season! Plus, all proceeds will go to help the team 💕

Quiz teams are up to 4 people and there is a 500 yen entry fee. The team with the most points will win a prize!

The pub quiz will cover all kinds of topics and trivia as well as some silly questions just for fun!

Grab a few friends and make a team or come along and join others on the night ✨
