【The Reason Your Kick Lifts Upward】 (Repost)
One common reason a front kick doesn’t land well
is when the kicking leg lifts upward from below.
In this video, I explain the cause
and show you how to fix it.
The key point is to lift your knee high and tuck it in.
Try it out at your dojo or even at home.
I hope this video shares a bit of Karate’s charm
and gives you helpful training tips.
Let’s keep learning, exploring,
and enjoying Karate together!
Enjoy Karate! 🥋✨

If you kick while
your knee stays low,
your leg will follow
an upward scooping path.
The key point in today’s practice
is to lift your knee high,
all the way up to your elbow.
By lifting your knee high,
you can kick forward
instead of scooping upward.
And finally,
practice kicking while keeping
your knee lifted high
even without stretching your arm.
