For the creator, comedian, and actress Yurié Collins, creativity has always been in her blood.✨

A New York City actress turned internet superstar, Collins found her footing in stand-up in 2023 after her Covid-era boredom videos gained a devoted following. “I had never thought of myself as funny, so it came as a surprise. I had also heard that Tokyo Comedy Bar in Shibuya had just opened, so I decided to give it a try.”

Ahead of Tokyo International Comedy Festival, which returns to Tokyo Comedy Bar from September 17 to 27, Yurié will entertain Members at a special show at the Club on the 17th.

What a summer it’s been! 🎏 Kids at our Camp Discovery wrapped up a wonderful summer with a matsuri-style dance performance for family and friends.

The latest round of our Trivia Night series came to a brilliant close, with team Better Late Than Clever taking the top spot during an evening of fiendish brain-teasers.

Thanks to all our participants and stay tuned for the next Trivia Night coming up this fall, followed by the Trivia Night Championship toward the end of the year.🏆

Behind every great club is an even greater team. 🎉 On August 9, over 250 staff members came together for the annual Employee Recognition Party, celebrating the diverse cultural backgrounds that make TAC what it is, with a Party Around the World theme. The night featured huge prizes from our generous donors and a well-deserved spotlight on staff receiving long service awards ranging from five to forty years.

Each time Members Jasmine and Kevin visit Rainbow Café with their 3-year-old daughter, Selah, one thing always commands her attention: the grapes.

Enter chef de partie Julius Tan, making sure the grape bowl is always stocked, putting a smile on Selah’s face. The attention is so appreciated by the Hsu family that they singled out the Indonesian native for recognition in an online Tell TAC.

“Every time we go to Rainbow, he’s always very welcoming and friendly, and always makes a point to say hi,” says Jasmine.

As a father, Julius says, “even small moments, like helping a child find their favorite food or simply chatting with them, can create a memorable experience.”
