Nihon Jujutsu is a Japanese martial art founded by Sato Shizuya sensei, influenced by his instructors, including Tomiki Kenji, Ito Kazuo, & Hosokawa Kusuo.
Nihon Jujutsu is a modern Japanese martial art developed from Ueshiba Morihei sensei's pre-WWII aikibujutsu taught to the Imperial Japanese military from the mid-1930s. It is a pared down, practical art, which, when coupled with judo, provides a comprehensive fitness and self defense art.
人一能之己百之、人十能之己千之。果能此道矣、雖愚必明、雖柔必強
If someone else gets it in one try,

We discussed blows to the vagus nerve, just below the jaw's rear. Watch closely and note how many of these knockouts are blows to the vagus nerve. And the use of sweeps to set up the blows.

Some ask if judo is effective on the street and why we finish with judo throws.
Watch.
What's harder to see is the armbar, and the forearm crammed into the neck of his assailant.
Mostly unnecessary - watch the assailant's arms and legs. Not a single twitch.
But, he also doesn't have backup to deal with, either.

From our friends at the Bartitsu Society. Bartitsu, the martial art of the Great Detective Sherlock Holmes, including some eclectic European arts, incluind this cane instruction. It reminds me of the short stick techniques of Nihon Jujutsu, perhaps crossed with Uchida Ryu Tanjojutsu.
