At the recent IBJJF tournament in Korea, Takashi Oguro Takashi Oguro 大黒 喬士 earned bronze in the Black Belt division. 🥉

He also entered No-Gi to keep earning points toward competing on the world stage. His opponent withdrew, but the challenge continues.

It was also great to reunite with Kenta Kimura 木村謙太/Kenta Kimura, Head Instructor of Tri-Force Sendai, after we previously trained together in Osaka! 🤝

Competition, friendship, and reunions around the world.

That’s one of the greatest gifts of Jiu-Jitsu.

そして韓国では、トライフォース仙台ヘッドインストラクターの木村謙太さん 木村謙太/Kenta Kimura とも再会！

大阪で一緒に練習して以来の嬉しい再会でした😊🤝

At the recent IBJJF tournament in Korea, Haru Ishii Haru Ishii 石井晴 took GOLD in the Adult Black Belt division! 🥇

He also recently placed at the All Japan Championship after battling through a highly competitive bracket.

Winning at black belt is never easy.
Winning in the Adult division makes it even more impressive.

His continued challenges and results show the work behind his success.

黒帯アダルト部門で見事優勝した

さらに先日の全日本大会でも、強豪が揃う激戦トーナメントを勝ち上がり、見事入賞。

黒帯になること自体が簡単ではない世界。

その中でも、世界中の強豪が集まる黒帯アダルトカテゴリーで挑戦を続け、結果を残していく姿は本当に素晴らしいです。

積み重ねてきた努力が、こうして結果として表れていく。

同じ日本人柔術家として、これからどこまで活躍していくのか本当に楽しみな選手です！

Years ago, I happened to meet 이현석 at another Jiu-Jitsu tournament in Korea.

At that time, he was still a white belt.

That chance encounter became the beginning of our friendship.

Years passed, we both kept training, competing, learning and growing.

And this time in Korea, we met again.

Now, we stand together as black belts. 🖤🥋

Looking back at where we started makes this reunion even more special.

Jiu-Jitsu gives us more than techniques and medals.
It gives us friendships that grow together with our journey.

今回の韓国大会で再会した

彼との出会いは、ずっと前に韓国で出場した別の柔術大会でした。

たまたま会場で出会い、当時の彼はまだ白帯。

そこから月日が流れ、お互い柔術を続け、挑戦を重ねてきました。

そして今回、韓国で再会。

今では彼も黒帯。🖤

白帯だった頃に偶然出会った友人と、こうして黒帯同士になって同じ大会会場で再会できる。

なんだか、とても感慨深いです。

柔術を長く続けていると、帯の色だけではなく、人との関係にも歴史ができていく。

メダルや勝敗だけではない。

こんな再会があるから、柔術人生は面白い。

また会えて本当に嬉しかった！🤝

We enjoyed a homemade-sausage hot dog and pasta. The hot dog was crispy, juicy, and amazing! 🌭

Without BJJ, I might never have traveled to America or discovered my love for international culture.

Jiu-Jitsu didn’t just teach me techniques. It made my world bigger.

My Jiu-Jitsu brother and fellow warrior from China, RENXING TANG.

This time, we were finally able to reunite in Korea! 🇰🇷

I have tremendous respect for his passion for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

And at this tournament, he took on an incredible challenge—competing in the Adult division.

No matter the age, no matter the country, his love for Jiu-Jitsu keeps pushing him forward.

But what makes him truly special isn’t only his passion on the mats.

His love for Jiu-Jitsu and his unforgettable smile naturally bring people together.

There is something about his energy that makes people want to be around him.

I’m definitely one of them. 😊

Jiu-Jitsu gave us the chance to meet, compete, become friends, and now reunite in different countries around the world.

That’s something truly special.

My friend, I already can’t wait for our next reunion.
