🌱SBCガーデンプロジェクト進行中！🌱
遂にガーデンに防草シートを張りました！
Mr. Kurtから張り方を教わり、ハンマーでペグを一つひとつ丁寧に打ち込んでいきます🔨
地面の中には石が隠れている場所も。最初は「刺さらない…！」と困惑していた小学生たちですが、慣れてくると「この音は石がある！別の場所に刺そう！」と、自分で音を聞き分けて判断できるように✨
かなり広いスペースでしたが、なんと2時間で全面を張り終えました👏
そして、いよいよ植物の植え付けも！
軍手も手も泥だらけにしながら、ひまわりの苗を笑顔いっぱいで植えていきます🌻
トマトや、コンパニオンプランツとしてバジル・シソ・サニーレタス・サンチュ・ナスタチウム・マリーゴールド・タイムも仲間入り🌿
ほとんどが食べられる植物なので、収穫の日が待ちきれません🍅
これからもっと色々な植物を植えていく予定です。続報をお楽しみに🌼
🌱 SBC Garden Project is underway! 🌱
We’ve finally laid the weed-control sheet across our garden!
Mr. Kurt showed everyone how it’s done, and the kids carefully hammered in each peg one by one 🔨
There were hidden stones beneath the surface, so at first the children were puzzled — “It won’t go in…!” But once they got the hang of it, they started listening: “That sound means there’s a stone! Let’s try another spot!” — making the call all on their own ✨
It was a big space to cover, but the team finished the whole thing in just 2 hours 👏
Then came the best part — planting!
With gloves (and hands!) covered in mud, the kids planted sunflower seedlings with big smiles 🌻
We also added tomatoes, along with companion plants: basil, shiso, sunny lettuce, sanchu, nasturtium, marigold, and thyme 🌿
Most of them are edible, so we can’t wait for harvest day! 🍅
