Getting a few turns in with my buddy before “Hanami” in Tokyo. Some of the best conditions of the season this March at Yokoteyama in Shiga Kogen. The New Yokote hotel is on the slopes and the lifts are planning to run until May. Hit me up if you want a guide or riding partner. Get out of town while you still can! www.new-yokote.com

Known to wear Red and listen to the Grateful Dead. The Captain of Stealth Backcountry Tours is a fine gentleman who shares his world with fortunate individuals each winter in Central Hokkaido. I’m looking forward to supporting more of these adventures next season. Let me know if you want more information.

I’ve never played in the band massive attack nor would I be bold enough to tag my own neighborhood with my given name. Curious if “Brad” has been seen in other parts of town?

When it is done well, I’ve been a fan of street art and graffiti. The recent tags around my neighborhood have a classic style although I want to go on record that I don’t have any connection to the new artwork

New Graffiti tags in Hatagaya and Sasazuka spell my name. Not sure if I should be honored or concerned !?

Climbing and riding Asahidake has been a dream of mine since I first rode my bicycle there in 1995. On the descent, I met the infamous Hokkaido snowboarders “Orange Man” and “Shark Boy” ...it was a good day.

Jacksan stretching out under Autumn leaves on a December morning next to a tributary of the Kanda river. The Tamagawa Josui is often a “covered river” where water flows under small parks and pedestrian walkways. Many of our cycling and walking tours at Freewheeling follow these old rivers and Jacksan enjoys waking up to 5km daily on these paths.

Gotokuji temple never ceases to amaze guests traveling to Tokyo from around the world. Beautiful Autumn leaves this season and a few cats.
