We as and would like to everyone on how to lower your risk of infection and prevent the of this .
1. Cover your mouth and nose during sneezing.
2. Maintain a strict hand hygiene during this period. Always wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water after and before interaction with people and when you get home.
3. Use alcohol-based hand sanitizers regularly at : work, school, home and in public transport vehicles ( matatus or nganyas) . Remember alcohol works well in killing the -19 virus so take note when buying the sanitizers at your local supermarket.
4. Use alcohol-based wet wipes to wipe commonly used surfaces at school, work or even in restaurants such as biometrics, chalkboard items and lift buttons.
5. If possible look for gloves to reduce the risk of infection while touching public utility items.
6. Kindly wear surgical and preventive masks if possible when headed out to the public. They are not a 100% effective as a preventive measure but sometimes prevention is better than cure.
7. Stand 1 metre away from people sneezing or coughing to avoid inhaling cough or sneeze droplets.
8. Avoid touching your face and mouth as this is the main way the virus is gets into the body.
9. Avoid hand-shakes, this is the right time as a Kenyanπ°πͺ to embrace the "Gota!! "informal hand shake or just say hi without any physical contact.
10. If you experience flu-like symptoms after being abroad or very high temperatures and difficulty breathing with dry-coughs, self for 14 days while doing the best to contact the Ministry of Health services or the Corona virus toll free number that you received in your .
