CULTURAL RELATIONSHIPS
The keiyo and marakwet people are linguistically and culturally akin to each other; they are part of larger Kalenjin group which includes pokot, Tugen, Sabaot, Nandi and Kipsigis tribes.
Traditionally nomadic pastrolists who wandered down the Nile valley from the North,many hundreds of years ago, they have now largely changed to settled agriculture.
