He thanked the sponsors of the tournament ie the County Government of Uasingishu and the corporate business. He encouraged other County's to have similar initiatives to take the sports to the grassroots.

Kenya to host Zone V Paris Olympic qualifiers.

The competition is set to be held in Mombasa in December 2023 from 20th-23rd. The top three countries in the zonal qualifiers will qualify for next year's CAVB- African Volleyball Confederation Continental Cup whose winner will get the sole ticket to the Paris Olympics
