But why?

In some communities, young players grow up surrounded by role models who made it further in football — giving them something to aspire to. 🌟⚽

Then there’s the school environment. 🏫
Some schools don't have football programmes, so young players end up putting their energy into other activities.

Coach Marcelo adds two more realities:

🏟️ Limited playing spaces — small or poorly maintained pitches can restrict the development of older players.

📚 Education vs football — for some parents, football is still seen as something to do on the side while academics remain the priority.

So what happens when talent meets an environment that doesn't fully support the dream? 🤔
