Today, LIMBUA participated in a farmer training organised through MASHF, strengthening our commitment to continuous farmer education and community engagement.
The session provided an opportunity to showcase our products and processes, sensitise farmers on the ongoing mass farmer registration, and explain LIMBUAโs operational model and impact. We also created awareness around herbicide- and pesticide-free farming while encouraging the adoption of organic farming practices.

African Birdโs Eye chillies are more than just a spice!
Naturally growing on our smallholder farmersโ farms and in our Demeter garden, these chillies have several practical uses in farming.
They can be used to prepare natural pest-management solutions and are also traditionally used as an option for protecting stored maize from pests such as weevils.
A simple, locally available resource with a place in nature-based farming practices.

๐ฑ World Nature Conservation Day
Healthy soils, water, trees and pollinators are essential for productive farms and farming communities.
In our growing region, LIMBUAโs field team supports smallholder farmers with training in certified organic farming requirements and regenerative practices. These include composting, maintaining a diversity of trees and crops, organic soil management and natural methods of pest control.
World Nature Conservation Day is a reminder that caring for these natural resources is closely connected to the future of agriculture.
๐ Protect nature. Support farming communities. Grow for tomorrow.

During this period, farmers are expected to carry out key farm management practices to prepare their mango and macadamia trees for the next production cycle.
These include:
โ๏ธ Pruning unwanted and diseased branches.
๐ฟ Applying organic manure such as Hygrow and Rotuba Tosha.
๐งน Maintaining good field hygiene by removing weeds and diseased plant materials.
๐ Mulching to conserve soil moisture and improve soil health.
When applied consistently, these practices support tree health, help manage pest and disease pressure, and contribute to good harvest potential in the coming season.
