Kakamega SHOW

A dark cloud hangs over the Agricultural Society of Kenya following the untimely passing of our Chairperson, Ms. Edith Onzere. A woman of grit, grace, and uncommon dedication, Edith’s journey through ASK was nothing short of inspirational — from Show Committee Member, to Eldoret Branch leadership, to Council Member, and finally to the pinnacle of service as National Chairperson, a seat she won through sheer merit and trust.
Her departure has sent shockwaves across the entire Society. We have lost a towering pillar, a priceless asset, and a true daughter of the soil whose legacy will echo for generations.
Rest in eternal peace, Madam Chair.

With the back-to-school rush behind us, our children are now firmly settled in class, ushering in a new academic calendar. Parents, meanwhile, roll up their sleeves as the scorching sun beats down — a clear signal that land preparation must begin. The rains will soon knock, and they must find us ready: fields well tilled, inputs secured, fertilizers stocked, and seeds selected.
This is the rhythm of a working nation — relentless, resilient, and forward-looking. There is no room for idleness, for life is a continuous journey of purpose, preparation, and progress.

Saddened by the passing of Mr. Francis Osore, our Branch Treasurer and Gates Chairman. Osore was a devoted, hardworking man who executed his duties with remarkable zeal and unwavering commitment. His loss is deeply felt, for the branch has lost a truly valuable asset. His legacy, dedication, and service will forever remain etched in our hearts. We shall live to remember him.
