𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐏𝐇𝐄𝐍𝐀 𝐌𝐔𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐍𝐈 𝐒𝐄𝐓 𝐓𝐎 𝐇𝐔𝐆 𝐀 𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝟕𝟐 𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐏:

Later, together with Nyeri Deputy Governor H.E. David Kinaniri, we officially kicked off the countdown for the incredible Truphena Muthoni — a young woman aged 22 years old from, Ihwagi, Mathira who continues to inspire us all.
‎
‎She is once again making Nyeri County proud as she attempts to break her own world record: moving from 48 hours of tree-hugging to an ambitious 72 hours.
‎Truphena first set the 48-hour record earlier this year.
‎
‎In this challenge, she is advocating for:
‎
‎1. Indigenous trees
‎2. Indigenous communities
‎3. Inclusivity for People Living With Disabilities — including a planned three-hour blindfold to highlight the experience of those with visual impairments.
‎
‎She hopes to show that tree-hugging is therapeutic. As mental health challenges continue to rise, reconnecting with nature reminds us who we are. We are part of nature, not separate from it.
‎
‎We wish the confident and determined Truphena all the best as she takes on this remarkable challenge.

‎She has our full support — morally and in every other way — as she puts Nyeri on the global map.
