Rooted in Community, United by Football !!
This morning, Day 4 of the Kisumu Beach Soccer Festival took a meaningful turn as we brought together teams, partners, and guests for a tree planting exercise at Rapogi Primary School, with support from the Kenya Forest Service.
Before the whistle blew for the day’s matches, we paused to invest in the future of the host community because we believe football should leave a lasting impact long after the final match is played.
Moments like these show how sport can be a strong vehicle for environmental awareness, collective responsibility, and community ownership.
At Oray Football Academy, our work goes beyond developing football talent. We intentionally use sport to shape values, inspire positive action, and encourage young people to become responsible stewards of their environment.
With the trees planted and spirits high, the festival now transitions to the pitch as beach soccer matches kick off, carrying forward the energy and purpose of the day.

Beach Soccer Festival – Seme, Kisumu | Mentorship Day
Today at the ongoing Seme Kisumu Beach Soccer Festival, we intentionally focused on mentorship, reminding ourselves that football is about more than the game. As hosts and main organizers, we created space for meaningful conversations on discipline, teamwork, leadership, and life beyond sport.
We sincerely appreciate the peer mentors from Butere, Kenyatta University, and Zetech University, alongside our other valued partners; Purpose Sports Tuungane CBO Kilifi active Legends, Kenya Forest Service, for generously supporting, sharing their experiences, guiding the players, and inspiring young people to believe in their potential both on and off the pitch.
As we prepare for the tournament matches tomorrow, the foundation has been firmly set—mentally, socially, and emotionally. Tomorrow, we bring the lessons to life through the game.
