Team Kenya Ready for the 2026 Africa Triathlon Cup - El Galala!
Our juniors are set to compete this weekend at the Africa Triathlon Junior Cup in El Galala, Egypt.

This marks the final competition in preparation for the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar later this year.

๐ธ KILIFI DEVELOPMENT CUP: YOUTH TRIATHLETES SHINE AS SEASON ENDS โ EYE ON DAKAR 2026 ๐ฐ๐ช๐ฅ
Kenyaโs youth and elite triathletes wrapped up the 2025 season in style at the Africa Triathlon Development Cup in Kilifi!
In tough heat, heavy humidity, and intense continental competition, our athletes delivered outstanding performances โ gaining crucial experience ahead of the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar 2026.
๐ฆ Youth Men:
โข Ishmael Mungai (16) put in a strong all-round performance, narrowly missing the podium.
โข Robert Richard (16) impressed with a 4th-place finish, saying, โThe competition was well organisedโฆ I believe in God.โ
๐ง Youth Women:
โข South Africaโs Taylor Foster took gold.
โข Zimbabweโs Rachel OโDonoghue and Egyptโs Judy Fatty followed closely.
โข Kenyaโs Bernice Kariuki closed a remarkable season with a personal best:
โOne of my best years. Now Iโll work on improving my swim, run and bike.โ

Elite Races:
โข Megan Irungu secured 2nd place in the elite womenโs race behind Namibiaโs Maja Brinkmann, gaining confidence ahead of next season.
โข Hamza clocked a personal best in the elite menโs category.
โข South Africaโs Ryan Viviers won the menโs race, saying hard daily training was his โsecret.โ
