DEFENDING THE CHURCH WITH PROPORTIONAL RESPONSE.
When protecting the Church always be ready to react in a way that matches the threat.
As a rule of thumb all Safety Ministries should follow the Use of Force Continuum in determining the appropriate response for any given situation.
There are 6 levels of escalating actions which will guide us.
THIS VIDEO WILL TAKE YOU THROUGH THE 6 LEVELS... WATCH & LEARN
Situational awareness is an essential component of safety and security is situational awareness. This is both environmental awareness, being alert to what is around you, and being aware of the situation - what is happening and what is developing.
Therefore, brothers, pick out from among you seven men of good repute, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we will appoint to this duty. ~ Acts 6:3
Ideally, safety and security enable the church to focus on its primary mission of evangelism and discipleship.
Church security is somehow different in terms of behavior, restrictions, roles, discipline, responsibility etc. from other security, such as Law enforcers, bouncers, watchmen etc. And all these undergo different types of training.
WELCOME AND LEARN THROUGH THIS VIDEO ON THE QUALIFICATIONS FOR CHURCH SECURITY TEAM.
Blueprint
A church safety ministry does not just happen. Someone has to have some kind of idea what it will be and how it will work. It requires coordination and agreement on how things are done, even if it is just two persons. Even just one person should know what to do in a situation. This means planning.
