The hat trick from new Gor Mahia signing Patrick Kaddu meant that Vihiga Bullets became the first side in the league to concede a hat trick against one team both in the first leg and the second leg.

Michael Olunga will be representing Kenya in his eighth exact year when he faces Iran on March 28.
The current team captain made his debut back on 28 March 2015 in a friendly game against Seychelles.

Since the Kenyan league was expanded to 18 teams in 2017, only Gor Mahia have managed to win the title with over 70 points.
They did it in three consecutive seasons in the 2017 (74), 2018 (75) & 2018/2019 (72) campaigns where they claimed the three peat. Mighty.
The 2019/2020 season was suspended when they led the table on 54 points after 23 rounds.
Tusker won in 20/21 with 65 points.
The Brewers also won the nullified 21/22 campaign on 66 points.

AFC Leopards were finally breached for the first time on Sunday when they lost 1-0 against Mathare United.
It was the first time they were conceding after 991 minutes across all competitions.
They kept 10 clean sheets in that run,9 in the league & one in the cup.
Coincidentally, Mathare was the last team to score against them back in January when Levin Odhiambo scored.
It was also the same team to get one over them as Chris Opondo did the damage in destroying their ten game run.
They had last conceded in the 70th minute back in that game in January and went on to concede in the 71st minute.

Since the turn of the century, Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards have won the annual Kenyan Cup competition the most number of times, lifting the gong four times each in the 20 editions held. Heritage.

The annual Kenyan Cup competition, now known as the Mozzart Bet Cup, gets underway today.
We take a look at the stats since the turn of the 21st Century.
20 editions of the tourney have been held since then with the competition failing to take place in 2020 & 2022 due to COVID-19 and FKF disbandment respectively.
AFC Leopards SC and Gor Mahia FC have won the cup the most number of times, lifting the diadem 4️⃣ times each.
Kariobangi Sharks FC went to back to back finals, losing 2-0 to AFC in 2017 before finally winning it in 2018 after beating Sofapaka 3-2.
Gor Mahia played in 3 consecutive finals(2011, 2012, 2013) winning two against Sofapaka (2011, 2012) and losing one to Leopards (2013).
AFC and Mathare also played in back to back finals in 00 and 01 as the two faced each other. Mathare won in 00, Leopards in 01.
Since 2001, the cup has been referred as Moi Golden Cup (up to 2004), President's Cup (2005-2007), KFF (2008), FKL (2009-2011), FKF Cup (2012), GoTv Shield (2013-2017), Sportpesa Shield (2018-2019), Betway Cup (2021), Mozzart Bet Cup (2023 - *) mostly for sponsorship purposes.

AFC Leopards have not conceded a goal in the last 740 minutes they have played football.
The last time they let in a goal was back on 18 January when Mathare United's Levin Odhiambo scored.
Their keeper Levis Opiyo has 1️⃣1️⃣ clean sheets - the most in the league. Divine
PS - These 740 minutes is just the regular ninety minutes without including additional time.

The Ingwe attacker also becomes the first player to score four goals in a league match since Masud Juma for K Sharks against Muhoroni Youth in 2017. Flames.
The concluded Round 14 in the 2022/2023 Kenya Premier League is the only gameweek that didn't have a goal scored via a penalty.
All the other rounds saw at least a goal scored from the spot with Round 9 leading with 6️⃣ followed by Round 13 with 5️⃣ Starve
