It was truly motivating to see children from Mumias Central receive medal awards after a fun-filled day of Kids Athletics activities. The recognition and encouragement continue to inspire more young talents to actively participate in sports and embrace teamwork, discipline and healthy living through environmental conservation.

The first batch of Team Kenya to the African Senior Athletics Championships departs for Accra, Ghana, ahead of the continental showpiece set for May 12–17, 2026 at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.
Kenya will be among the top nations battling for honours as Africa’s finest athletes converge in Ghana for the championship.

Kids Athletics activation at Moi Kabartonjo was not only about nurturing young talent in sports, but also instilling the values of environmental conservation among learners.

The children actively participated in tree planting activities and embraced the use of recycled materials in various Kids’ Athletics events, demonstrating creativity and the importance of protecting our environment.

At Unoa Comprehensive School in Makueni county, we held an exciting activation for the Kids’ Athletics program, bringing together learners in a fun, engaging and inclusive environment.
Special learners were fully involved in the activities, showcasing that sports is for everyone and that every child deserves an equal opportunity to participate and shine.

Held a consultative meeting with H.E. Dr. Jonathan Bii, Governor of Uasin Gishu County, alongside various stakeholders to deliberate on preparations for the upcoming race in the city.

The event promises to be one of the biggest athletics showcases in the region, set to redefine the sporting landscape in the country while further cementing Eldoret’s position as the true City of Champions.

Through collaboration and proper planning, we are laying the foundation for a world-class race that will inspire talent, attract global attention and strengthen Kenya’s athletics heritage.
