The essence of Clean diet for a healthy and fit body.
This article is for people from all walks of life. Whether you train or not, this info about diet comes from my personal experience.
I will keep it simple and straightforward. Day to day, we meet people who would like to be fit. Truth be told a fit and healthy body boosts self esteem and confidence. You may choose to differ. With that being said, who wouldn't want to achieve that fit body despite of our day to day struggles (especially as it nears the holiday seasons) ?.
But on the contrary, even after putting in those grueling extra hours in the gym or training, hardly do you see rapid changes in your physique. Some of these people may give up after couple of months of workout due to lack of results. But the question is what role does diet play in this scenario?
My answer- It is responsible for 70% of the results that would expect to see after putting in those hours of workout in the gym.
Guys, please pay attention to what you eat. A clean diet doesn't have to some expensive s**t. All it has to be is a balanced diet of proteins, carbs and healthy fats. Stay away from excess sugar, carbs unless you are burning them in the gym through cardio. Remember what you see in the mirror is what you put in the body in the kitchen.
Clean diet goes hand in hand with every aspect of your training. Whether you are a martial artist, fitness enthusiastic or someone eager to get in shape, please pay attention to what you eat. Don't ignore your diet and if possible seek help from professionals.

'Precision beats Power, Timing beats Speed' - Conor Mcgregor.
A key fact for newbies who are training in a Martial arts gym. I often notice that most newbies don't focus on fundamentals of martial arts and rather rush for hitting the heavy bag as hard as they can to showcase their power.
Guys, please don't do this. Please avoid going into a martial arts gym especially if you are a newbie and start hitting the heavy bag with no rhythm or technique. This is completely wrong. Understand and master the technique of basic striking, kicks, movements, combinations. Take time to reflect on the training you do and ask yourself 'When should i use a particular technique? ' It is vague to do a kick or a punch and not know when to do that in an actual combat situation. Its never about how hard you hit a bag or how flashy your kicks are. Its a lifestyle. It takes time, dedication, devotion, patience and only then you can understand the essence of Martial arts.
1. Visualize your opponent in front of you when you are throwing a shot.
2. Work on footwork and agility during training.
3. Use your mind to focus on shots that make sense in a specific situation.
4. Ask questions as much required so that you can get the knowledge behind a shot.
5. Work on timing, accuracy, speed and power combined. Not just one at a time.
6. Have patience and let it come natural to you when you are training. Don't force things.

Hi Titans....
As we go into the holiday seasons, I hope everyone stays healthy and safe.
Just wanted to share with the community about something interesting.
My personal take on self defense and martial arts.
Martial arts has been something that I have been passionately involved with for the past 13 years and counting. Just as the saying goes, it's a way of life. I have absolutely loved to respect the art of martial arts and have tried out various forms of martial arts. With that being said, no one martial arts is better than the other ones. If you want to be a complete fighter then focus on the aspect of exploring different forms of Martial arts and incorporating what works for you and suits you the best. Don't be biased towards one form of martial arts. Have the flexibility of adjusting and adapting like water.
My take on Self defense. I have explored fighting forms such as Kali and Krav Maga. Personally, I don't think they can be considered as martial arts. Rather they should be treated as a deadly fighting technique that is meant to be used in extreme combat. I have also realized that self defense entails a lot of self awareness and making use of simple and effective techniques to defend yourself. 'The simpler the technique, the better it is'. Feel free to differ.
With that being said, please don't fall into the hoax of Hollywood movies and try out those fancy techniques on the streets. 'They don't work and will most likely get you killed'.
I recommend ' Nick Drossos channel' - https://www.youtube.com/user/creativecombats/channels
Key points
1. Please train safely and take care of your training partners.
2. Keep your ego out of the practice room.
3. Respect and humility goes a long way.
4. Last but not the least, Violence is not cool. Use your skills only when you need them and not to prove a point against anyone.

Fighting is more mental than Physical. Most people get carried away by the size factor in a fight but then there is more than size that matters in a fight. You are a good fighter if you can stay calm, composed and can adapt and adjust based on your opponents offense in a fight. Believe you me, one of the most overlooked aspect in a fight is the composure of the fighter that wins. When you are nervous, anxious or emotional, you are vulnerable to mistakes. Specially in Street fights, the margin for error is extremely minimal. I believe in the idea that no fighter is perfect and there is always room for improvement. So, learn to identify your weakness in your training sessions. Talk about your weakness with your training partners and coaches. The more open you are to learning and incorporating new tools in your arsenal, the more are your chances of survival in a fight.
I have been doing Muay Thai for years now but I still train in different martial arts form because there is always something interesting that you can pick up from others. Drop your ego down and be open to knowledge. Martial arts is not just a sport, it's a way of life.
Never fear to make mistakes in training or don't be embarrassed in getting outclassed by your training partners. My coach used to tell me that the more you grind in the training, the easier the fight will be. The more you approach Martial arts with sincerity, honesty and discipline, the better are your chances of growth.
With that being said, I don't support violence of any sort. I absolutely hate bullies and fighting should only be done at the last resort. I am sharing a link below of this backyard fight of now UFC welterweight fighter 'Jorge Masvidal' vs some unknown fighter. The idea of this clip is to explain you that Jorge Masvidal was fighting guys in the backyard underground fights who were way bigger and heavier than him. One of the reason he was knocking them out was because of his strong striking fundamentals and the fight IQ.
Please people, no matter where you train or what sport you train. Never leave your fundamentals behind. Always work on them before every practice session and repeat them every time. Kudos!!
Feel free to reach out to me @ 0771621350 -
Don't ask me the following questions :-
1. How long will it take me to become a great kickboxer?
2. Can I achieve everything in 3 months ?
etc etc
Martial arts is not a weight loss supplement that you see instant result. People do it for years and yet they still have the hunger to learn more.

There are times when you are confronted with situations where you have to decide to fight or walk away.
One such scenario happened with me last night. I was dropping my friend to the stage and came across this car. The car looked really neat and so I commented "Nice probox". I din't realize that the owner of the car was inside and he said something in return. I walked a bit far and actually went back to the owner and asked him "What did you say ?" . He replied "Why are you calling my car a probox?" I am like Calm yourself dude. No need to get testy. I walked away even though his tone was extremely aggressive and he was throwing cuss words.
If I wanted, I could have instigated a fight but I was worried about him. I know that if I engaged in a fight then I would have hurt him really bad. I just dint want to use my skills for the wrong reason. Besides, it's really important to realize that there is a thin line between self defense and fighting. Self defense is only meant to be done when you are threatened and there is no other option in front of you. Fighting on the other hand is something that can be done without the necessary need of self defense.
Here is the take - I was a very aggressive person in the past with a bad temper. I messed up a lot and got into a lot of fights. And I can honestly say you that it's not a good feeling to get into street fights for many reasons. But mostly because of the legal consequences and risk. So, Martial arts made me a better person and bought that calmness in my life. Now, 9 out of 10 times, I try to avoid street fights. Fighting should only be done if it is the last resort and if you must do then make sure that you are well trained, well educated about self defense and know how to win the fight with least damage.
If you want to train for self defense or Muay Thai then feel free to whatsapp me @ 0786894651 or call me at 0771621350
