Congratulations to Luke Owuor and Rodney Kipkoech of the Kenya Rugby Referees Association for earning a call up to officiate at the Kyabazinga7s which is part of the sevens series.

We extend our warmest congratulations to our very own Saidi Kenya and Oscar Ndereva of the Kenya Rugby Referees Association, who have been honored with the opportunity to officiate at this weekend’s Uganda Sevens Series. They will be taking charge during the fourth leg of the competition, the Rujumba 7s, set to take place at Kings Park Arena in Bweyogerere.

The 2024 National Sevens Circuit has drawn to a close, marked by the participation of over 80 match officials fulfilling diverse responsibilities, including those of referees, technical zone officials, coach match officials, and additional match day staff.

We are deeply moved by the overwhelming messages of condolence from the rugby fraternity following the passing of Daniel Chibata, the Chairman of Rift Valley Rugby Referees Society (RVRSS), who left us last week. His dedication and passion for the game will forever be remembered.

As we prepare to lay him to rest at his Shianda home in Mumias, Kakamega County, we kindly appeal for financial contributions to help offset burial costs. Your support during this difficult time is greatly appreciated as we honor Daniel's legacy and bid him a final farewell. Thank you for standing with us.
