Yesterday a national team selection took place. The SG explained the team will be prioritized for the world Taekwondo championship despite a team already being registered in simply compete. The turn out was very low with players as low as yellow belt participating. The SG mentioned that a selection should not have many players but rather the creme Dela creme of the best, that was not the case. The national team did not have competition period. Why? It's how the selection was sold to the population.

Last week, Kenya was represented in South Asia by Jully Musangi who won a Gold medal, Sharon Wakoli (Under Olympic solidarity scholarship) Bronze medal, The National Olympic committee of Kenya (NoCK) sponsored the two for the tournament.

The two Participated in World Taekwondo G2 Mt. Everest Open Taekwondo Championship in Nepal 20th to 25th September 2022
