Smallholder farmers are innovators. They just need the right tools. At Yielder, we donโt just believe in innovation, we see it every day.
A tomato farmer in Nyeri trying out organic pest control for the first time.
A poultry farmer in Kakamega exploring natural feed options on the Yielder app.
A youth group in Busia composting kitchen waste to grow vegetables sustainably.
A farmer in Bungoma adopting regenerative practices to revive depleted soils.
A pineapple farmer in Kilifi improving soil health through organic mulching.
These stories remind us: when farmers have access to the right information, they act, and they adapt. Thatโs the power of digital extension and the reach of our Yielder Ambassadors on the ground. The impact of knowledge made simple.
Letโs keep equipping our farmers with tools they can trust.
Because theyโre not just growing food but also the future.

๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ธ๐ฒ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ ๐ฒ๐๐ผ๐น๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด. Across Africa, more farmers are turning to regenerative and sustainable practices that seek to restore soil health, reduce input costs, and build resilience to climate change.
But one thing is clear: farmers are hungry for knowledge. And for many, access is still the biggest barrier.
At Yielder, weโre working to bridge that gap, one training, one farmer at a time, through digital tools and Yielder Ambassadors offering on-the-ground extension support.
Because informed farmers grow communities, economies, and a better future.

Nature has its way of protecting the soilโwhy shouldnโt we? Mulching is one of the easiest and most effective ways to build healthy, resilient farms. By covering the soil with organic materials like straw, leaves, or crop residues, we lock in moisture, suppress weeds, and enrich the soil with organic matter. This means less water loss, fewer weeds, and more nutrients feeding your cropsโnaturally.
Mulching also prevents soil erosion, keeping precious topsoil in place, and boosts biodiversity, creating a thriving environment for soil organisms that improve fertility. Itโs a simple step that leads to regenerative, climate-smart farmingโthe kind that works with nature, not against it.

At Yielder, we continue to roll out trainings on sustainable agriculture.
Soil is a living ecosystem that sustains our food, its not dirt. However, farming using chemical fertilizers and pesticides has degraded it, causing biodiversity loss and climate change. Much of the African soils are virtually dead.
hashtag can fix this. By prioritizing hashtag through cover cropping, minimal tilling, crop rotation, intercropping, composting, and rotational grazing, we can restore the soils, boost fertility, increase yields, and even capture carbon. This isnโt just a trendโitโs the future of farming. Healthy soil = a healthy planet= healthy food. Letโs invest in sustainable practices for generations to come!
