I now understand why people I admire who are building visions, businesses, movements, communities, and dreams carry themselves differently.
There’s a groundedness to them. A discipline. A level of alignment and intentionality.
Because building changes you.
Building exposes you to an atmosphere that demands growth. It requires discipline, grit, vision, stewardship, and responsibility. You can’t stay passive or too comfortable when something meaningful is in your hands.
Even in my own journey of building, I’ve noticed how quickly it sharpens your thinking. You stop thinking like a spectator, because you become aware that something has been entrusted to you and needs to be sustained.
And I think this is something more people should desire: To become builders.
Even in employment or service, shift the question from “what am I doing here?” to:
“How do I help build?”
“How do I contribute?”
“How do I make this better?”
Because builders don’t just occupy spaces.
They shape them.
And in the process, they are shaped too.
What are you building? Or what are you helping build?

A clean space looks simple.
But behind it is time, structure, and real effort. That’s what makes it professional cleaning.

No glamorous space exists without cleaning behind it.
The hotel rooms people admire.
The offices people walk into with respect.
The homes people feel peace in.
All of them are held together by unseen cleaning work.
Cleaning is what restores dignity to a space.
It is what makes a place:
▪️Safe to live in
▪️Comfortable to breathe in and respectable to walk into.
But because it is not visible, people assume it is not valuable.
Yet the truth is: Without cleaning, nothing else can look or feel good.
How do you view cleaning and those who do the work?

Your environment is doing more work on your mind than you think.
Most people in Nairobi think stress comes from:
🔸 Job pressure
🔸 Money problems
🔸 Relationships
🔸 Traffic and daily survival only
But there is something quietly affecting your mind every single day that nobody talks about:
👉 Your space.
A cluttered or disorganized home doesn’t just look “a bit messy.”
It:
▪️Drains your mental energy before you even start your day.
▪️Makes you feel like you are always behind in life.
▪️Reduces focus (especially when you are already tired from work or commuting)
▪️Creates that constant feeling of “I still haven’t sorted my life out”
If this speaks to you, start with one simple thing today: spend 10 minutes resetting the visible areas in your home.

There’s something no one really prepares you for about your 20s.
Not the pressure.
Not the shifting friendships.
Not the silent seasons.
Not the feeling of being “behind” while everyone else seems to be moving.
I’m turning 29 this year, and if I’m honest, the last few years have stretched me in ways I didn’t expect.
There were moments I felt hidden. Moments I questioned if I was on the right path. Moments I didn’t even know how to reconcile the fact that I was no longer 17 😳… but somehow fully responsible for building a life.
But here’s what I’ve learned:
Your 20s are not about arriving.
They are about rooting.
This decade will test you, your faith, your identity, your friendships, your convictions. But if you allow God to ground you, heal you, and align you, it will also build you. ☺️
