The 2025 Deaflympics 10,000m and 5,000m gold medallist, Ian Wambui Kahinga, was crowned the 2025 Sportsman with Disability during the 2025 Sports Personality of the Year Awards(SOYA) Gala on Friday at the Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi. Kahinga also set new Championship and World Records when winning the 5,000m final in 13:52.83,beating the previous time of 14:02.90 by legendary Symon Kibai in 2013.

The 2025 World Para Athletics javelin T13 silver medallist, Sheila Wanyonyi was crowned the 2025 Sportswoman with Disability during the 2025 Sports Personality of the Year Award (SOYA) Gala on Friday night at the Uhuru Gardens.
