HEAR IT FROM DR BOIT
Before you take advice on coaching, it matters who it’s coming from. Dr. Kiptolo Boit brings a rare blend of academic excellence and real-world experience — a Lecturer at Kenyatta University, Founder and CEO of Nextgen Multi-Sports Academy, Director of Research and Studies at KSTCA, and a former member of the Kenya National Swimming Team (2007–2012). His journey reflects both high-performance sport and structured education, making his voice one that truly understands what it takes to grow as a coach.
Certification is not about collecting papers, it’s about understanding the journey, following the right pathway, and truly owning your role as a coach. In this message, Dr. Boit emphasizes that real coaching growth comes from structured learning, guided progression, and applying knowledge on deck, not shortcuts. The right certification pathway builds competence step by step, ensuring that every coach doesn’t just receive a certificate, but actually earns and owns it through practical ability, confidence, and professionalism.
The KSTCA Level 1 Coaching Course, delivered in partnership with Swimming South Africa and supported by the Braeburn Group of Schools, is designed exactly for this. Giving coaches the foundation they need to grow, develop athletes responsibly, and raise the standard of swimming.
Because in the end, a certificate means little if it’s not backed by real skill, understanding, and impact.
