Since a few days, we mourn the loss of a true African giant, Dikembe Mutombo. Though we may not have known him personally, his impact was felt across the continent and beyond.

From the bustling streets of Kinshasa to the grand stages of the NBA, Dikembe’s journey was a testament to the power of perseverance and the boundless potential of the human spirit. Yet, it was his unwavering dedication to his community and his philanthropic endeavors that truly resonated with us all.

He returned to his roots, giving back to the world he came from. His legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of the countless young people he inspired.

Rest in eternal peace, champion. Your memory will live on.

ABDA recently had the privilege of participating in an outreach program hosted by Mr Peter Luis, founder of Orkeeswa Secondary School, and his incredible team in Tanzania.

We were blown away by the enthusiasm and dedication of the students at Orkeeswa. Their passion for learning was truly inspiring. But what truly impressed us was the unwavering commitment of Mr Luis and his team. Their vision to build a school surrounded by sports facilities, from basketball courts to rugby fields, is not only impressive but also impactful, positively shaping the lives of so many young people.

We are incredibly grateful for the invitation and look forward to returning for a full camp in the future.
