Athletics Kenya president Lt. Gen. (Rtd) Jackson Tuwei presided over the official opening of the Nike store at the Sarit Centre, Nairobi, marking a new chapter in a 33 year partnership that dates back to 1993.
Tuwei underscored Nike’s long standing role in kitting Team Kenya, noting that the Nairobi outlet now offers a practical boost for athletes, including on site size adjustments for official kits, as the country continues to strengthen its global athletics footprint. Eliud Kipchoge Faith Kipyegon

In what could reshape the 2026 track season, Femke Bol has stepped away from her dominance in the 400m hurdles to test herself in the unforgiving 800m
But the question dividing the athletics world is simple and sharp
Is this the rise of a multi event legend or a strategic move away from a looming clash with Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone?
The stakes are brutal
Kenya’s 800m scene thrives on tactical unpredictability where positioning patience and timing destroy pure speed
Meanwhile Keely Hodgkinson brings one of the most devastating finishing kicks in global middle distance running
Bol’s raw speed is undeniable but over two laps speed alone doesn’t win you need control endurance and race intelligence
This is no longer her comfort zone
Will Femke Bol conquer the 800m or has she miscalculated the challenge?

𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐈𝐒 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐀 𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐄. 𝐈𝐓’𝐒 𝐀 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐖𝐃𝐎𝐖𝐍.
The Xiamen Diamond League just stacked the women’s steeplechase with four different weapons:
Yavi Winfred– pure closing speed
Peruth Chemutai – championship IQ
Faith Cherotich – fearless youth
Norah Jeruto – relentless engine
If this goes out fast, the world record is under threat.
If it slows… it becomes a last-lap war.
No middle ground.
