Some of Loldia Eburru’s most interesting residents are the ones our guests rarely get to see.

One of our camera traps recently captured this giant forest hog moving through the forest — a great reminder of just how much wildlife is quietly living around us, often completely out of sight.

It’s also why conserving forests and wildlife corridors like this matters. Protecting the habitat means giving species like these the space, cover and resources they need to continue thriving.

You never quite know what is wandering through the forest once everyone has gone to sleep… 🐗

Not a bad view from horseback… 🐎

Horse riding has arrived at Loldia Eburru, with trails through the forest and some incredible viewpoints looking out over Lake Naivasha and Mount Longonot.

There’s no better classroom than the forest 🌿

We recently welcomed a school group to Loldia Eburru, spending time walking through the forest and learning a little more about the ecosystem around them.

A big part of what we love sharing with visiting students is the importance of indigenous trees — why we’re working to increase their numbers across the property, and the role they play in supporting wildlife, improving habitats and keeping the wider ecosystem healthy.

Loldia Eburru also sits within an important wildlife corridor, helping connect the Eburru Forest ecosystem with the Lake Naivasha area. Protecting these natural spaces and the connections between them is essential for the wildlife that continues to move through this landscape.

Hopefully, visits like these help inspire the next generation to understand, enjoy and ultimately protect places like this. 🌳🦒

Small hands, lasting impact 🌱 
During a recent school trip to Loldia Eburru, the children helped us plant numerous indigenous trees — a small but meaningful step in our ongoing effort to restore and increase native tree cover across the property.
Indigenous trees are vital for healthy ecosystems. They support local wildlife, improve soil health, reduce erosion, store carbon, and help protect the natural landscape that makes this area so special. 
At Loldia Eburru, we are committed to planting and nurturing more indigenous trees so that future generations can continue to enjoy this beautiful environment.
