Farmer education is key, with the assumption farmers adopt new technologies, their rigidity is in the lack of proper training and information.

The Soil Inventory advocates for proper training and to enable farmers be the biggest beneficiaries of research, technologies as they are the final multipliers.

Farmers need to adopt climate smart agriculture, climate change is here. Conservation Agriculture (agro-forestry being part of it) should be a must have information by the farmer.

As we look forward to having our next farmer field/training day where we attract numbers of up to 400-500 farmers attending our training. The counties, learning institutions and the various partners in the industry play a crucial role in enlightening the farmers.

The success of the farmer today will attract the youth farmer tomorrow.

The youth are taking up spaces of training and farmer education, it is beautiful to see that the young people are the change makers but also are the fountains of knowledge.
There is hope of continuity, labour may seem to be a challenge because truth is farm labour is not attractive, but with the, science( more research), technologies and mechanisation adoption of agriculture for the young people becomes easy and offers more areas of specialization and interest. This still builds on the dream of having a food secure nation.

To us field days and agro-tours are not only events, they're learning experiences to the farmers, exposure to inventions and technologies, bridging the knowledge gap, inspiring more players into the industry, creating a network within the various businesses and value chains.
In turn an increase in production is a step closer to achieving the dream of food security and nutrition.
We create a community that is empowered all together.

The success of the farmer today will attract the youth farmer tomorrow.
